My active working languages are German, English and Finnish.
My passive knowledge of Swedish, Latin, Spanish, French and Mandarin Chinese provides additional help. Translating written documents and interpreting orally give me the opportunity to put all my knowledge and work experience into use. I love facing the challenges of translating difficult topics and feeling the satisfaction of being able to help two parties to understand each other better.
I translate technical texts and users’ manuals as well as documents concerning legal matters such as birth certificates and divorce certificates. I also translate school reports and diplomas.
Customers, who need my services for oral translation, are mainly Finns, who live in Switzerland and whose language skills are not good enough to manage with legal issues or matters concerning their health. Further customers are Swiss businesses such as the Swiss Medical Assessment- and Business-Center, Bern and Medizinische Abklärungstelle Medas Ostschweiz, St.Gallen.
In 1980 I acquired the official Translators Certification and took the Sworn Translators Oath in Turku, Finland.
